IT Support & Outsourcing for Hong Kong Businesses
Even without a dedicated IT team, someone can still take ownership of day-to-day issues.
When computers cannot log in, email fails to send or receive, software stops working, or the office network goes down, AlphGa can provide support by phone, remotely or on site, focusing on the affected accounts, devices and connections. Non-urgent work can be organized into an ongoing support list to reduce repeated disruption from similar issues.
When It Makes Sense to Outsource IT Support
Problems do not have to be major to keep consuming staff time.
When IT work is handled alongside administrative, finance or management duties, every incident means finding someone again, explaining the environment again, and waiting for multiple vendors to confirm responsibilities. Outsourced support creates one consistent entry point: first assess the impact, then route the work to the appropriate resolution path.
Day-to-Day Devices Suddenly Stop Working
A colleague’s computer, printer, email or business software suddenly becomes unusable.
No Standard Checklist for Joiners & Leavers
Accounts, permissions, computers and data handover are scattered across different people and records.
Lack of Coordination Across Multiple Vendors
Microsoft 365, network equipment, NAS and endpoint devices are managed by different vendors, with no single party taking ownership when an incident occurs.
Equipment Information Becomes Fragmented Over Time
Serial numbers, warranties, administrator accounts and configuration records are held separately by different colleagues.
The Same Problems Keep Recurring
Each time, only the immediate work is restored, without anyone organizing root causes or priorities for improvement.
AlphGa records “who is affected, which device is involved, and which service is unavailable” separately, giving each support case a concrete starting point.
Support Scope
Starting with user issues and extending to the accounts and equipment that support their work.
Users & Computers
Support login, system, printing, peripheral and common business-software issues on Windows or macOS computers. Where necessary, device status is checked first to determine whether the cause is configuration, software, hardware or network related.
Accounts & Microsoft 365
Assist with email, Microsoft 365 accounts, passwords, licensing and user permissions. Joiner and leaver tasks can be carried out according to the customer’s established approval process.
Office Connectivity
Check wired networking, Wi-Fi, printers, shared folders and common connectivity issues. If network redesign, equipment replacement or cabling is required, the work is assessed as a separate project.
Day-to-Day Operations for Servers, NAS & Backup
Depending on the contract, support can cover basic status checks, accounts or shared permissions, backup-alert follow-up and general support for existing systems. New servers, storage, backup architecture or major migrations are scoped separately.
Device & Record Management
As needed, equipment inventories, administrator-information handling methods, joiner/leaver tasks and common-issue records can be organized so future support does not need to start from zero each time.
The brands, software, number of accounts, locations, devices and service hours actually covered must be stated in the quotation or contract.
How an Issue Is Taken Over
First identify which work is blocked, then decide whether remote or on-site support is appropriate.
STEP 01
Report the Impact
Provide the affected user or device, when the issue started, on-screen messages and a contact person. Screenshots can shorten the initial diagnosis time, but do not send passwords in messages.
STEP 02
Initial Triage
AlphGa checks whether the issue relates to an account, device, software, network or third-party service, and confirms the time and permissions available for remote work.
STEP 03
Remote or On-Site Resolution
Configuration and software issues that can be handled safely remotely are addressed online first. Cases involving physical equipment, cabling, on-site testing or loss of connectivity are then scheduled for on-site support according to the agreed arrangement.
STEP 04
Record the Result & Follow-Up Work
After completion, the resolution is recorded. If aging equipment, insufficient capacity, licensing gaps or major changes are identified, recommended actions, impact and any need for a separate quotation are listed.
Urgency levels, response windows, on-site arrangements and third-party coordination follow the service terms confirmed by the customer.
Ongoing Outsourcing
Move from one-off firefighting to a manageable support backlog.
Fixing a single incident only restores the immediate work. Ongoing support builds context around devices, accounts and recurring issues, helping customers distinguish isolated incidents from repeated problems worth scheduling for improvement.
What Will Be Defined Before We Work Together
Clear service scope means there is less guesswork when help is needed.
Customers do not need to write technical specifications themselves. Provide the current headcount, number of devices, key systems and the most common problems, and AlphGa can organize the requirements from the current situation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common Support Questions Before Engagement
This section focuses on questions that affect service decisions, service hours and account security.
Can you support computers or equipment that were not purchased from AlphGa?
Please provide the brand, model, operating system, warranty status and symptoms. AlphGa will check administrative access, manufacturer warranty and parts availability. If the manufacturer or a third-party system vendor must be involved, the support team will list the required information and coordination steps.
What if an incident happens after business hours?
Out-of-hours support follows the service hours and emergency contact channels stated in the contract. If the contract does not cover that period, you can still use the designated channel to leave details of the affected user, device, error message and incident start time, and the support team will respond according to the service terms.
Do I need to send passwords to support staff?
No passwords need to be sent through ordinary WhatsApp messages or email. The engagement will define methods for administrator accounts, temporary authorization, identity verification and password handover. Passwords that users can enter themselves do not need to be given to support staff.
Need IT support? Send AlphGa the basic details.
Tell us your office location, number of users, key systems and common issues, and we will reply with a suitable support approach.
