Enabling MSPs in WatchGuard Cloud with Service Provider-level Firmware Upgrade

WatchGuard Cloud allows Managed Service Providers (MSPs) the ability to allocate and manage their WatchGuard devices to their customers with simplicity and ease. With our recent post about Fireware 12.8.1’s release, it’s time to re-introduce and extremely useful feature in WatchGuard Cloud. Back in January, we brought forward the ability to view and update firmware for all WatchGuard devices, Fireboxes and Access Points, which are managed under the MSP umbrella to add to that simplicity.

This page should be familiar for those already using firmware upgrades in WatchGuard Cloud. On the Overview level, devices are listed with the account they belong to. Access Points, Fireboxes, and Firebox Cluster devices are accessible here, and the list can be filtered as desired.

Clicking “Upgrade Firmware” provides the same firmware upgrade experience as the Subscriber/Account level, and now the ability is available to select or deselect all devices under specific accounts.

MSPs no longer need to go down the line on each subscriber account, one at a time, to upgrade the firmware for the devices which makes this capability a great time saver for our partners!
